About our Lab
The Clinical Risk, Resilience, and Intervention Lab (CRRI Lab) is dedicated to advancing the science of emotional risk and resilience, with a particular focus on suicide prevention, assessment of risk, strategic clinical intervention, and ongoing treatment. Our team aims to bridge the gap between evidence-based psychology and real-world application, where complex clinical challenges meet accessible and scalable solutions. We specialize in the study and implementation of brief cognitive-behavioral therapies (BCBT), with a particular emphasis on suicide-specific treatment add-ons for those in active care for a range of problems including depression, post-trauma adjustment, anxiety related disorders, and associated personality traits. Veteran mental health and digital health delivery are both areas of emphasis. By leveraging technology and empirically supported clinical protocols, we aim to develop effective interventions that support individuals during periods of heightened vulnerability to mental health crises. Located at the University of Memphis, our lab thrives on the strength of our dedicated team and a global network of collaborations.
